The Good, the Bad and the Bubble

Join us for our Fort Myers monthly chapter meeting of the Entrepreneur Society of America Fort Myers on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.

This month's featured speaker is Dr. Christopher Westley from the FGCU Regional Economic Research Institute. Westley will discuss the economic trends in Southwest Florida based on data his institute has collected. Entrepreneurs will benefit from his insights into current trends and learn about the opportunities and challenges facing business owners throughout the region.

Before coming to FGCU, Dr Westley was a Professor of Economics at Jacksonville State University. He is an associated scholar at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. A native of Naples, Florida, he studied at the University of Florida and St. Mary's University of San Antonio, Texas, before receiving his Ph.D. in economics from Auburn University. He has also worked as a Summer Research Fellow at the Acton Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A prolific writer, Professor Westley has published more than 100 economics columns since receiving his Ph.D., including some that have appeared in Investor’s Business Daily, the Christian Science Monitor, several city-focused business and policy journals throughout the United States, as well as the Birmingham News, the Tuscaloosa News, the Montgomery Advertiser, and the Anniston Star. His scholarly articles have appeared in Economics and Politics, Constitutional Political Economy, the Eastern Economics Journal, the American Journal of Economics and Sociology, and the International Journal of Social Economics.

If you are new to ESOA, you can attend your first two meetings free of charge, as an invited guest, thereafter, guests pay $25 per meeting or may join as members for $195 per year.
